Day 15 (shopping day)

Hello all!

Day 15...

today I was in Lindau

(cute little town in Germany)

shopping with a friend.

I spent 12 € on jewellery
- a butterfly ring and an "angel wing" necklace -
and I will see them as this month's rewards for exercise
(you surely remember the exercise points).
I still have points left over for next month :)
and hope to collect many more!

My report for today:

FOOD:

Get me started in the morning: soy cappuccino

Breakfast (in a café): yogurt with strawberries,
and a coffee

Lunch (restaurant): penne noodles "au gratin" with broccoli and tomatoes,
and a glass of orange juice

Afternoon sin: iced coffee

Dinner snack: soy pudding
and a nectarine

EXERCISE:

Walking around Lindau.
I estimate some two and a half hours of pure walking.

- 15 points -

STRESS MANAGEMENT:

I bought two new books
and got immersed in one immediately after getting home.

Reading has always tranquilized me and brought serenity to my mind
- should do it more often.

LOVE AND SUPPORT:

Aurelia,
you're wonderful.
Thank you, shopping queen,
for making this day fun and special.

Pascal,
nice talking to you today.
Beware of hypnotic eyes!
;)

See you tomorrow lovelies...

Day 14 (trying to re-find my balance)

Hello all!

Day 14 has already been waaaaaay better than the last few days...

Although still some things to change for becoming perfect, of course!

Today I was remembered of this beautiful Osho quote:

Well, I'm just trying to

re-find my balance now...

Report of Day 14:

FOOD:

Brunch: smoothie made from orange, banana and kiwi
and a healthy vegan sandwich with smoked tofu

Afternoon coffee: a soy cappuccino
and only a sip of coconut water with pineapple juice
(I must say it tastes horrible. I couldn't finish it.
Might be that coco water is super healthy and the new trend,
but for me, it tastes AWFUL.)

Snack: bread roll with onion spread

Dinner: four quite healthy burgers made from grains, carrots and some corn

Dessert - vegan delight: soy pudding

I know I didn't have much fruit today, except for the smoothie
- but see that fruit bowl in the background?
Something from it will wander into my mouth tomorrow, for sure.

EXERCISE:

Ehem...
exercise is still the point where I have to put more effort in.

Today I walked to Alice's office
and my lower legs started to hurt
(after only some ten minutes walk!)
I finished the walk nevertheless,
but I was shocked at the pain.

I have to walk MUCH more.

And not only to reduce my weight
(which is going towards my lifetime-top point again),
but to gain health.

By the way,
did you know the correct way to weigh yourself?
;)

STRESS MANAGEMENT:

Pretty relaxed now.

For today,
only light some incense,
pray,
and sleep.

LOVE AND SUPPORT:

Alice,
your help is priceless.
Thank you so much for your kind words
and the wonderful support you provide all the time.

Sanni,
sunshine of my life...
thanks for picking me up once and again.
You're the best friend one could imagine.

M...
I sent you a "best wishes" card and a little lucky charm
(tiny crystal Ganesha)
today.
I am confident you will succeed.
I love you.

YES,

I am a dreamer,

and I might be delusional

to think I could ever be

thin,

pretty,

attractive,

feeling light-hearted,

happy and healthy...

But...

Day 12 and 13 (wasted days)

Hello all!

A Mira Richard quote goes

"All the years passed without making any progress

are wasted years."

Let's apply this to days.

The last two days were really wasted.

I did nothing - nothing.

Just sit around, play on the computer, watch TV, and eat.

All this with the great excuse

"I'm on holiday, it's time to relax."

What if

- instead of my idea of "relaxing" -

I make this a feel-good holiday?

Which would mean I eat properly,
go out for a walk sometimes,
see my friends from time to time,
and don't spend my days in my room playing dumb Facebook games.
Come on!

I have to go grocery shopping later,
let's see if I can find some healthy (and possibly vegan) stuff
- instead of all the cheap semolina puddings I've been eating those last two days,
along with lots of bread and hummus.

But before,
I have to get a shower

and then appointment with Alice.
Let's see if she can get my head back in order.

Will report about day 14 when it's over.

Day 10 and 11 (taking a break)

These last two days

I've been taking a well-deserved break

- from everything.

That also included eating whatever I felt like,

and doing nothing but relaxing

(after all, it's been raining anyway).

Will retake healthier ways tomorrow.

Promise.

Day 8 and 9 (totally overworked)

Hello all!

Pardon me for not writing earlier,

and this post will not be too long either...

I'm damn tired.

Totally overworked.

Good thing now I have two weeks off!

The last two days were horrible;
especially Thursday...

I would have had to go grocery shopping on Thursday morning,
but I overslept... and overslept much.
Wanted to grab a bite at the bakery nearby while hasting to the bus station,
but they wouldn't accept my card... more bad.
I counted on my music player to get me through the day -
guess what, batteries finished. Third bad.
Okay, so I had to go to work without food and without music - VERY bad.
Could you believe my mood was not the best?
I only had two bread rolls with choco cream cheese, a joghurt,
and some muesli and juice
over all the day.
Aaaaaaaaand I got home super tired, but could not sleep long
- last day of work,
everybody has to gather at 6 in the morning
to get the final cleaning done.
I'm home and ready to sleep by no earlier than midnight!!!
And have to get up again at 5!!
 Buaaaaaaah!!!!

Well, you can imagine I started today (Friday) on a bad foot...
it got better eventually at half past eleven,
when we were done with cleaning and everything
and boss let us go into our well-deserved holidays.

Magdalena drove me home
(thanks again, love you gal)
and I went straight away to the supermarket restaurant to have
a big portion of French fries with mayo
- I desperately needed food,
and I had earned it, I think.
So, well, the rest of the day I've been resting,
playing on the computer,
and eating semolina puddings.
Yeah, it was not the best day.

Hope day 10 will be better.

I'll keep you updated.

But now,
no party for me tonight
- maybe tomorrow.

G'night...

Day 5 (saved from falling)

Hello all!

It was a grey, grey day...
and I slipped...
and almost fell.

If it hadn't been for my diet counselor Alice.
Thank you, Alice!

But let's start from the beginning:
It was a cloudy, grey, sometimes raining, nasty day...
and, above all, a Monday...
and on heavy shift.

No time for a proper breakfast,
so just grabbed a banana and left...
had only bread rolls and some fruit till the evening.

Going to have overeaters group meeting later,
and decided to stop by a grocery to buy a sandwich or something,
so as not to go to the meeting with stomach growling.

Guess what - no veggie sandwich left.
Grrrr. What to do?
I'm damn hungry!!!
So much sweet stuff in this place.
Okay, let's grab the donuts.
Add Toffifee, those joghurt sticks and some iced coffee.
And go, before you can think what you're doing.

Chewing the donut, bus is coming.
Bus driver is shouting at me to put the donut back in the pack,
no eating allowed in bus.
Okaaaay... I'm hungry, woman!!!

Overeaters group meeting - without group.
Normally we're four to seven women, plus counselor.
Today it's only me and Alice.
Well, let's have a single session.

I tell her I just had half a donut.
She says: "I guessed so. You're nervous. You are stressed, feeling guilty,
and are full of sugar."
How right.

After some talking, we together find out that
it had just been a stressful day,
but it doesn't necessarily have to end a shitty day.

Good, I've had half the donut -

but no need to finish it,

and much less eat the rest of sugary crap I bought.

I can still turn the day around,

and have a healthy dinner.

But, we find out,
I'm not actually that "hungry".
I'm EXHAUSTED!
(Which is a huge difference.)

So, she does a 15 minutes meditation with me to calm me down,
and tells me to go home, have a coffee,
write my blog entry,
take a good book to bed with me
and try to hit the hay early today.

And that's exactly what I'll do when I finish this entry!

So:

FOOD:

Breakfast: a banana
- NO PHOTO, was in a hurry -
(do you need a photo of a banana?)

Lunch: two bread rolls with hummus

Afternoon snack: two nectarines
and half a packet of dried papaya

No good choice: Half a donut
- PICTURE OF THE REMNANTS, TAKEN AT HOME -

Coffee: Espresso Macchiato

EXERCISE:

Nothing, only work =(

- will try to fit in some fitness tomorrow before work,
have late shift -

STRESS MANAGEMENT:

15 minutes meditation with Alice
left me feeling renewed,
like after a good nap.

Still, I guess some reading
and then a good night's sleep
are a pretty good idea right now.

LOVE AND SUPPORT:

Thank you, Alice.
This day without you would have been not only grey,
but pitch black.

Thank you for reading
- see you tomorrow.
Gonna rest now.

Tomorrow will be a new day...
a new opportunity.
